Selon l’ECDC, l’hépatite virale affecte en Europe des millions de personnes. De très nombreux cas sont non diagnostiqués.
Entre 2006 et 2012, plus de 110.000 cas d’hépatite B et 206.000 cas d’hépatite C ont été rapportés. Cependant, ces chiffres sous-estiment le nombre réel d’infections.
